@lipidguy @michaelbmarlin @PulmCrit @RyanMarino Completely agree, but in the heat of battle I am not sure people will not use a big loading dose. Small chance, but I don't believe much in lipid RX in that people go for it way too early and it may not do much anyway, so why chance it.

New HHS Guidelines published today allow treatment w/ buprenorphine for up to 30 patients w/o "X-waiver" training. Notice of Intent has to be filed w/ SAMSHA who will ussue X-waiver ID # allowing use. Way to go!

JAMA today - Vourc'h et al.: high dose baclofen (50 - 150 mg/d) decreases agitation in vented EtOH misusing patients (but increases time to extubation). Will definetly try in a serious drinker and report back.
