@FundamentEdge Awesome advice. My sons are now 20 and 17. I’ve had a small biz that gave me time/flexibility to spend time with them. I have not made a lot of money as I stayed small, but I figure I have plenty of time to work after they are out of the house (which is soon).
@TradersConf My suggestion: serve others, be part of a community, get outside. I don’t make even to close to that amount, but my biz gives me a lot of free time. I read the Bible, lift weights, coach sports, school board, initiate getting guys together, church, to name a few
@WallStreetApes What’s crazy about those coated seeds is they grow without water for a really long time. I watched my neighbor plant and not water for weeks while the corn grew. Doesn’t work that way with non-treated seeds.
@WallStreetMav This will add complexity to getting the sourdough recipe dialed back in, but research stone-milled flour. We starting buying a local stone milled flour and haven’t looked back. Using this will get you closer to bread made in Europe that is actually healthy (in moderation)
@WallStreetApes Small farmer here in Oregon. Oregon sucks. The county shut down a successful farm/brewery near us. Took us 3 years to get a building permit to build a workshop for my wife’s flower biz. Oregon over regulates everything crushing small biz and farms.
@sweatystartup I have two teenage sons. No video games or social media. We found exciting books for them at a young age. School has been easy for them. Martial Arts and sports have also been very beneficial.
@DerrickEvans4WV@WallStreetApes Same. I’ve been raising Cornish cross for 15 years. It is not the hormones, feed, etc that makes them market ready, it is selective breeding.
@TheQuartering The key is to brine the turkey for 48 hours in water, salt and sugar or honey. I raised 9 turkeys last year. After brining, I smoke some and/or cook in the oven.
@therabbithole I got bit by a bat. $10K for rabies shots. Self employed, high deductible health plan. Costs less to tell health providers we don’t have insurance. Once you tell them you have insurance it costs a lot more, but since we are on a high deductible plan we pay the total billed.
