@confusion_reign I just don’t see him coming back to a team that’s not competitive and isn’t going to give him very top dollar. I’d love to watch him too but I hope they’d have enough confidence they could get one or two guys that they could develop and make an impact.
@confusion_reign If they were .500 or better, or if there was a real chance of him returning next year, then yeah.
But not when they’re out of the playoff race on June 1 and there’s zero chance he’s coming back here. I’ll take what I can get
The Rays went lefty heavy tonight, that would’ve been a great opportunity to use Drew Anderson out of the bullpen, but you can’t because he threw 35 pitches yesterday in a game he should’ve never pitched in.
It's Tarik Skubal's trade deadline. Get ready for the rumor onslaught. And also, as Ken writes...
"The griping from rival executives about dealing with Scott Harris, the Tigers’ notoriously exacting president of baseball operations, would be as entertaining as the Skubal sweepstakes themselves."
I would like someone to explain to me how the Rams and Eagles seem to jus replay under different rules than everyone else when it comes to player acquisition
It’s the single dumbest move that AJ has made as a manager here. You have a starter averaging under 11 pitches per inning saving you from having to use any pieces from your dumpster fire pen.
Pulled after 6. It doesn’t pass the eye test, and it doesn’t really make sense analytically.
I love baseball full stop. I can watch 162 games of a bad team. I’ve done it plenty of times.
But I cannot STAND this brand of baseball whilst also being bad. I do not want to watch a bunch of bench guys hitting .160 take key at bats because AJ thinks he’s the head of Mensa every time there’s a pitching change.
