@JournalistJill I'm ok, thanks. I had a chromosome test a few years ago and discovered - after 70+ years of uncertainty - that I was a man. Before that I just had to hazard a guess.
@bindelj The woke, gender-addled management of NHS Fife made this nurse's life a misery and wasted a ton of public money defending the indefensible. I hope they get what's coming to them.
@FondOfBeetles There are all sorts of interesting things about sexuality in different species. None of them have any relevance to humans, still less to gender identities. Bees can also fly and sting and make honey - what does that tell us about humans? Nothing.
@SophieXY44 Done! But it won't be as scary as you imagine - I had my first MRI (for prostate cancer) a couple of years ago. I was anxious but it was OK. Best of luck anyhow & God bless.
@RedWhiteBlueJew I understand Murray's frustration, but it's not just that Smith hasn't been to Gaza. Lots of us haven't been to Gaza, but we can still find out the truth of what's going on there if we make the effort.
@SCoRMembers I appreciate the great work your members do, having had radiography for prostate cancer a year ago. I don't appreciate your 'support' for trans rights, considering that they aren't lacking in any rights, except for the spurious right of men to be in women's spaces.
@anyabike Indeed it is, and her talk on sex and gender is second to none, I remember watching it when I had only the vaguest idea what transgender was.
@betsvigi9@vampywitchy@AudreySuffolk@SCynic1 I imagine that making all the toilets unisex might seem attractive to some businesses as a cheap solution. But it won't be long before one or more female customers takes them to court for sex discrimination on the grounds of not providing single-sex spaces for women.
@j4ppleby Maybe if you're in that situation, don't start a war by slaughtering your enemy's civilian population in a pogrom?
Should we have stopped WWII after D-Day when the Allied forces vastly outnumbered the Nazis on land, sea and air? Wasn't fair to Hitler, was it?
@ScienceQriosity@kathmurray1 The SC ruling is clear but I do take your point. We are going to need unisex cubicles or some form of third space that trans people can use if they aren't comfortable in toilets or changing rooms that match their biological sex.
@RestIsPolitics@RoryStewartUK@campbellclaret The debate is not toxic, what was toxic was the "no debate" era where we were all supposed to swallow every insane proposition that trans activists came up with! Who on earth believes that someone who "identifies as a woman" thereby becomes a woman?
@janeclarejones None of us needed the help of cognitively-challenged right wing demagogues to realise that sex is binary and immutable. I like to remind my vegetarian friend that he "sides with" Hitler, who deplored eating meat or cruelty to animals.
