I valued the honest dialogue, shared reflection and the reminder that the high road isn’t always the easy road… but it does have fewer HR complaints at the end of it. 😂#BCSBookstudy#PrincipalsBeLike
Q5) Thinking about our Monthly Book Conversations, what aspect of our discussions or shared learning experience was most valuable to you? #BCSBookstudy
Think beyond policies and procedures and focus more on people and influence. Every interaction is an opportunity to build trust and model integrity (even though sometimes it means gently explaining that “urgent” doesn’t always mean “emergency). 😉
Leadership is measured most in difficult moments. As an HR director, I want to choose the “high road” by leading with consistency, empathy and courage - especially when conversations are hard and decisions impact people deeply. #HR#BCSBookstudy#tacos
Q3) What is one idea, strategy, or perspective from "High Road Leadership" by @TheJohnCMaxwell that you will intentionally carry forward? #BCSBookstudy
In my work each day, this means looking beyond tasks to instead focus on people. Encouraging a teammate, supporting a struggling employee and making decisions that help others succeed.
“Living by the bigger picture is seeing the world as it is, finding opportunities to help others become great, and using your skills, talents, and resources to help as many people as you can in the time that you have.” - @TheJohnCMaxwell
Q2) What might this look like in the work you do every day? #BCSBookstudy #LeadTheClimb
Success and trust don’t happen by accident. Strong leadership lifts people up and sets the tone for everything that follows. When leadership is healthy, schools thrive. When it’s not, everything (and everyone) feels it.
