After seven long years of separation, Martha Esther Njoki has finally reunited with her children.

Esther Njoki is the lady I rescued from the streets last year. At the time, she was in very poor condition and needed urgent help. I took her to a rehabilitation centre, where she has been recovering. I am proud to say she fully committed herself to change and has shown incredible strength and determination in transforming her life.

During her recovery, she asked me to help her find her children. She had even forgotten the name of the children’s home where they had been placed, so the search was not easy. We spent a long time tracing any information that could lead us to them. Today, we finally got a hint that led us to the home.

I took her there, and for the first time in over seven years, she saw her two young boys. It was an emotional and unforgettable moment. The boys were completely shocked they had believed their mother had died long ago. Seeing them reunite, talk, and begin bonding again touched everyone present. The home’s management was also very happy to witness the reunion.

Until Martha is fully discharged from the rehabilitation centre, we will continue arranging regular visits so she can bond with her children. I will also continue supporting her to secure a job and a stable place to live, so she can rebuild her life with dignity and eventually provide for her family.
Today marked not just a reunion, but a fresh start a new chapter filled with healing, hope, and the beautiful promise of a family finally coming back together.

COVERT STING NETS TWO WITH SH11M ELEPHANT TUSKS IN NAMANGA

A multi-agency team comprising officers from the National Police Service (NPS) and the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has netted two wildlife traffickers, seizing elephant tusks worth approximately Sh11 million.

Following a trail of intelligence leads, the team launched a covert operation at Mufassa Hotel, where the traffickers were believed to be closing in on a shadowy deal with a prospective buyer.

There, they found Imani Manasi Msumbwa and Justin Mwalima, both Tanzanian nationals, and Alton Jilaoneka, a Kenyan, lounging as if they were kings on their throne, completely unaware their reign was about to come to an end.

But in a twist of fate, Justin Mwalima made a daring escape at the first sign of trouble, slipping away like a wisp of smoke. The remaining two didn’t stand a chance and were arrested on the spot.

Upon interrogation, they led the officers to their parked vehicles, setting the stage for further revelations.

A search of a Toyota Mark X, registration number T476 DHS, turned up 20 pieces of elephant tusks weighing a total of 110 kilograms stashed in the boot, while a further inspection of a Nissan Fairland, registration number T305 EFM, uncovered a weighing machine, underpinning the traffickers' meticulous operations.

The suspects were swiftly escorted, along with the impounded motor vehicles and exhibits, to Namanga Police Station, where they are undergoing processing pending arraignment.

This interception serves as a powerful reminder of the Government’s commitment to combating wildlife trafficking through robust multi-agency collaboration and intelligence-led operations, to protect our natural resources and endangered species.

FROM THE STREETS TO HOPE: A MOTHER’S TEARS, GOD’S RESTORATION!

You wouldn’t believe this-this is a former street family member by the name Martha Njoki, the same woman we found sleeping outside City Hall, stranded with no one willing to help her. This is like 4months ago

When I approached her, she became fearful and broke down in tears, thinking I had come to chase her away or have her arrested. I assured her not to worry, that I was only there to understand her situation and see how I could help.

At the time, she was seriously ill with pneumonia, battling drug addiction, and completely broken living on the streets with no hope. Her children had earlier been taken in by someone who owns a home either in Githurai or Mwihoko, though she cannot clearly remember the exact location.

Today, I am grateful to share that she has recovered and is in the final stages of treatment, awaiting discharge. Before she is discharged, we would like to take her to meet her children. We hope that once we reach Githurai, her memory will guide her to the exact place where they are.

This is not my doing. It is God’s work. God is simply using me, in line with the covenant I made with Him when He entrusted me with this responsibility.
I share this story on my social media platforms to encourage others to go out of their way and help those living on the streets. Every life matters, and with compassion, hope can always be restored.
