A purposeful field mission for @ayushmannk, UNICEF India National Ambassador — where he saw community action shaping safer, brighter futures for children.
In Jalna, Maharashtra, he met families, frontline workers, and local leaders united by one purpose: protecting every child and helping them grow with dignity, hope, and opportunity.
Because when communities come together, children don’t just survive — they thrive.

There is no military objective that justifies the wholesale destruction of a society's infrastructure or the deliberate infliction of suffering on civilian populations.
UNICEF is devastated and outraged that our colleague Karine Buisset was killed in a reported drone strike on a building housing aid workers in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Goodwill Ambassador Theo James visited Syria for the first time, stepping into the country that once gave refuge to his grandfather. There, he met people rebuilding their lives after years of conflict.
“As I stand here in Damascus, I think of the journey my grandfather made after escaping war in Greece. He was welcomed by the people of Syria and found shelter in this historic city. Without their support in time of need, I wouldn’t be here today. His experience instilled in me that all of us – anyone, anywhere – can become a refugee. It’s a reminder that we all have the choice to provide safety to those fleeing conflict and persecution", Theo shared.
It is beautiful to view the coming year as an open journey to be discovered. Indeed, through grace, we can venture forth on this journey with confidence – free and bearers of freedom, forgiven and bringers of forgiveness, trusting in the closeness and goodness of the Lord who accompanies us always.
For 80 years, the UN has been a beacon of hope in times of turmoil.
As global conflicts, crises & challenges put millions at risk, the UN will continue its vital work in the year ahead assisting vulnerable people and delivering for those most in need.

In recent days, the agreement to begin the peace process has brought a spark of hope to the Holy Land. I encourage the parties involved to continue courageously along the path that has been set out, toward a just, lasting, and respectful #Peace that honors the legitimate aspirations of both the Israeli and the Palestinian peoples. Let us ask God, the only true Peace of humanity, to heal all wounds and to help, by His grace, accomplish what now seems humanly impossible: to rediscover that the other is not an enemy, but a brother or sister to look upon, to forgive, and to offer the hope of reconciliation.
“It is clear there is an intent to destroy the Palestinians in Gaza through acts that meet the criteria set forth in the Genocide Convention.”
UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry's report shows #Israel has committed #genocide in #Gaza.
