I wrote this about Marcus Trescothick. It took time and I've put everything into it. A relatively long read but I hope a few people feel it's worth following through to the end.

Big go well to Sonny & James, been a pleasure to commentate on much their careers so far
Big kudos to westcountry cricket, the @SomersetCCC academy & @KingsTaunton@KCTSport (where incidentally I'll be playing for the @MCCOfficial against Kings 1sts probably minus T Rew tmrw!)
@theanalyst@YouTube Hugely impressive. Probably the most articulate young English cricketer I’ve ever seen. Hugely dedicated and ambitious, but self evidently a nice guy.
And another one off the @DevonCricket production line.
@EngRugbyDebate We’ve only seen bits and pieces of him this season, mostly off the bench, but his carrying has impressed and he can scrummage too. Likely to be our first choice loose head next season.
@SamLStandsUp Great stuff. I think I read it at the time and had my doubts, to put it mildly.
Hooper and Zambonin have certainly become ‘local legends’. Dweba not quite. Impossible to adequately describe just how good Varney has been. Campbell Ridl has been a superb find.
@AnnieChave You’re giving me lifestyle envy again!
Mind you, I’m at Budleigh watching @HarryEverett_14 open the batting for Cullompton, so life’s good.
@melindafarrell Agreed, Mel, he is absolutely outstanding. If you want further evidence, check out an interview (on YT) he gave when he was given his first @SomersetCCC contract. I’ve never been more impressed with a young pro for all the reasons you state.
@_PhilWorld@TightFive_Rugby Forrester was unique. Sinbad just got on the wrong side of Phil Larder (England defence coach) after a perceived poor defensive performance in NZ and was basically never seen again, despite being just about the best winger in the country at the time.
@talkMacca He hasn’t. He’s spent much of the season injured, so is fresh, and doubtless feels he has something to prove as other tight heads (Tchumbadze, Roots) have done well in his absence.
