Had to draw arterial blood from an elderly gent one night. Told him it might hurt just a bit. He looked me straight in the eyes, a strong yet sad look. He said “nothing you do can hurt me”. Then he showed me his tattooed number. I was & am speechless. #holocaustmemorialday2018
