@cathywilcox1 Everything in public policy in Australia has now been monetised in a deeply inadequate way. All press releases start with a $ sign as if throwing a sometimes random amount of money at something is solution. So hopeless. And most media can only cope with this very simplistic idea.

@rup31 @Ollieospring @sacdefromage @pamelacurr @FlickReynolds I’m not a parent, so no nothing directly, but observing from the outside, I’ve seen the stern look or sharp verbal rebuke work very well, if used judiciously by the parents, and instilled into the child as part of the toolkit of discipline they should expect for misdemeanours.
