Think healthcare costs/options. Think Costs of all goods, real estate, etc…which have been driven mainly by the C19 economic results. We should have never been so heavily restricted for that long. Don’t misread this as me having some kind of total solution to any of it. I’m just following the compounding effects from it all. I’m also confident that “war”, however you want to define it, with Iran was inevitable under any administration. Some might argue it was past due.
@MattH_4America I don’t understand why anyone would think that our current issues are related solely to the GOP. Most of the largest issues that have led to the above were created during Obama and Biden terms.
I’m genuinely curious how clarity applies to btc. Isn’t the whole premise of writing regulatory policy and law for digital assets meant for utility assets? With the exception of a perceived store of value, what does a btc do? I get that it’s considered digital gold, but is it backed by gold? Gold in its purity can actually serve as a utility in the physical world. How is clarity provided to an asset that is not owned or managed by a corporation which is liable for maintaining so called clarity? Sounds like btc has clarity because somebody(s) said so. Open to be proven wrong here.

@AdrianoFeria I invite you to help the opposition to come up with any kind of supportive narrative for their positions without mentioning the word Trump or Trump Family, etc… see my posts today.
You still can’t say what your opposition with this bill without mentioning Trump. I invite you to read what I have posted in regards to yourself and your party today. You owe the American people further explanation on your true opposition. If Trump is your only opposition, you are a shameful person and shouldn’t be representing the people of this country.
Every senator who voted against advancing the Clarity Act today should go on the record with a real policy explanation.
Not vibes. Not team scorekeeping. Not “we just didn’t like the politics of it.”
Publish the actual reasons:
•What in the market-structure language fails consumers or investors?
•Where is the CFTC/SEC split wrong?
•What AML, custody, or intermediary rule is insufficient?
•Why is the stablecoin/deposit-flight language unacceptable?
•What developer or exchange provision is a dealbreaker?
If the objection is the bill itself, say so in writing and point to the text. Americans can handle a policy fight. They should not have to guess why a year of negotiations just died on a procedural vote.
Do this without mentioning or discussing Trump.
The American people deserve adult explanations.
Sadly there is most likely a lot of truth to this statement. At this point I am now more concerned about how/why policy is in Washington is made in general. The level of childish behavior on this bill is a revelation into how shitty our democratic society has become. This is how we make policy that shapes how the world works?
All of this talk sounds more like jealousy than illegal activity. Pretty tired of hearing why a billionaire businessman’s ability to make more money than others is the reason why the greatest country the world has ever known can’t pass legislation. If there is illegal activity around this space I am having a really hard time understanding how zero rules make things better? I’m open to suggestions. Just don’t make stupid ones.
@BradSherman Yeah, you and all of the rest of the opposing democrats (and republicans) are going to have to come up with a better response for your opposition. I would love to see you all’s squeaky clean political pasts……
@ThatOldWhig@SenThomTillis I was ignorant to this. That clarification helps. That leads me to believe most others reading this will interpret it in a similar fashion. I encourage the senator to clarify the statement with a more descriptive statement on his position.
Lots of truth. While I am not in favor of pointless meme coins ripe for a rug pull, we live in America where we are all free to try and fail at anything we desire. Same rules also apply to people wanting to gamble with risk/rewards. Since when is it the governments job and position to block international economic policy because somebody they don’t like might make money in the process? Again, where were these fucking clowns when Nancy Pelosi banked millions from being a policy maker?
@CoinDesk Not enough. You should be accountable for why you believe it’s too thin. Oh, and leave out the word Trump. I’ll be waiting your response. @SenatorSlotkin
Jesus- you and Warren can’t argue this bill without specifically mentioning Trump. You are children!! If you can’t argue any narrative other than your personal hatred for a president, it’s time for you and whoever else to stop being in charge of policy making. Go home and live whatever life you have left in peace and quiet!!
@WatcherGuru I call for this old hag to get the F out of Washington. She can’t even argue this bill without mentioning Trump personally. That is CHILDISH and emotionally driven. We have ZERO room for people like this to be a United Stated Congressman or woman.
Well, in defense of the democratic narrative and argument, I guess the majority of the country is responsible for voting in corruption. I’d honestly like to see where we can find ZERO political corruption. Let’s all grow up here. I’m not even sure one can be considered as a political candidate without being manipulated or black mailed. I would love to be proved wrong. I welcome the proof and challenge,
