@SparePartsGuru@FOXFOOTY Good analysis - but the incidental argument weakens as Elliott fell backwards from the (front on) contact. The rule is there for player safety as are many of the rules of the game. Elliott got straight back up but that's not relevant to the decision.
@VirginAustralia now 12.38pm. - the checkin queue is growing - not a staff member in sight (but they have been seen out the back - we can see you) - @CanberraAirport
A scammer got into my Qantas FF account. He sent a note to apologise & said he couldnt get a flight with the points either. https://t.co/vid2SfrXbT
Can the Qld Premiers Comms team tell him to not wear a suit while giving media updates on #CycloneAlfred. He doesn't have an appointment at the #WhiteHouse. He could look more sincere - perhaps Dan Andrews can lend him his #NorthFace jacket. @DavidCrisafulli
Is this the CEO of @Energex#optusfail moment? We know what happened to the CEO of Optus due to her lack of visibility and upfront leadership in a crisis.
#CycloneAlfred. Not expecting him to restore power, but at least regularly front the media with his sleeves rolled up.
Conflict of interest, a simple principle. How can #NACC Commissioner claim mistake & hold his position? He's had several months to think about his mistake. Can anyone on the wrong side of the law say , "I made a mistake & you can't expect me to be accountable" #Robodebt
@Telstra my daughters Telstra internet service is down for a month in suburban Brisbane. Call centre staff seem incapable of solving a problem they acknowledge your organisation caused. They cant even cancel & get another provider. Pls DM to see how we get this resolved.
The hypocrisy of the #greens who say you can't trust major parties on anything of substance but now ok to trust them to manage interest rates. Once a treasurer 'overrides' the RBA, what stops future political led interest rate settings?. Loopy & unhinged #auspol24#auspol

@OzTrikster@DavidZita1 Because he played on towards the centre of the ground straight away after marking the ball - play on. Scott then tried to change his mind and he was called to play on. You can't have it both ways.
@KenNwater Don't blame the ref - blame the NSW players who appear to have been on a mission to take Walsh out - there was a late hit in opening minute. What would you prefer - it's Origin so just go and do what you like?
And commentators saying shouldn't be sent off at this level. WTF - the guy has CAT1 concussion and out of the game
Had ref picked up the late hit on Walsh in the opening minute, this may not have happened. Probably let go cos it's #Origin
@FOXFOOTY The original 15m penalty was to stop time wasting. Players deliberately infringed to slow the play down. Now 50m the stakes are higher. This was time wasting - knock the ball out of the hands after a clear mark to prevent play on. Players/coaches try this on & wear the risk.
