@robinsonishyde Editor here. On the flip side I got a pilot that was 75 pages and is cutting at 90 minutes. Lots of dialogue heavy scenes, actors talking slowly. Totally depends on a lot of factors.
@mattshumer_ Just the other day I asked Chat to take a PDF with a list of itemized timecodes and turn it into a CSV for me. It got most of them wrong. I’m sure it’s great though, I love that you let it write entire programs for you while you get coffee. Maybe I’m using it wrong?
@LukeBarnett LA based editor, use Frame daily across multiple teams, some still on v3 holding on for dear life before February. Big on sharing my thoughts with the Frame/Adobe team fairly often, very active on forums.
@editblog i was a big pusher for premiere to import entire structures, including empty folders, which had been removed for several years. i’m glad it is back but i agree that it should also recognize common camera cards and deal with bringing in footage only in those cases
@dnl_fig if you want more dynamic text boxes that have more control just make a text layer, don’t use a subtitle track. the disadvantage there is not being able to produce SRT files if needed
@dnl_fig with subtitles you shouldn’t be changing the scale or position really. they should all be at the same spot except for where they need to move to avoid other text. so that’s actually how the subtitle boxes are meant to work.
@Frame_io I’ve submitted countless feature requests, a few have been implemented, but many have not. The big thing right now is that your Premiere integration stinks and is missing crucial features like the ability to relink a sequence to a different asset or upload markers as comments.
@ViewerAnon this is inherently a good thing as a show this huge will mean Adobe will gain valuable insight into how to adapt to bigger productions for the future. pitting adobe vs avid is a pointless argument, whatever gets the job done, seems to me they got it done real good.
@editblog You never know the quality of the template you are going to get from the thumbnail, how adaptable it’ll be to your needs. Often templates are not built with the end user in mind.
@chrisfelcker@aryanagxl@valentinavee Spielberg is considered one of the best camera operators in all of cinema, and Jan de Bont was a DoP before he directed Speed and Twister. Michael Bay regularly operates a camera during action scenes. Great directors know how to hold a camera. What do you think cinema is?
@editblog This job actually reposted, the first time it was more like 75k. This is actually probably one of the more legit jobs on there, problem is they want a San Fran local (or relocate) to be full time salaried. The 0 hours probably just to skirt the Mandy system requirements.
@ArcanesValor@wanyeburkett my dogs got attacked by a german shepard and i kicked the shit out of that thing with every ounce of strength i had multiple times and it didn’t budge. it’s a lot harder to kick a dog than you think with how fast they are! fortunately dogs are a-ok
@nickdeckerdevs How old is your son and does he want to participate in the YouTube channel with you in some capacity? If so, then it might be helpful to have him edit your videos. If you need a trainer for that I can do private lessons. Teach a man to fish.
@jorenkandel Eleven Labs speech to speech is great when you need a lot of voices such as for a crowd where the dialogue needs to be slightly recognizable specific to the story. Record my own voice saying the lines then generate various AI voices on top of it. Only ever for background audio.
