@Waymo What happened in San Francisco last night? It was a debacle during a record breaking attendance for the celebrations. The roadways of San Francisco occluded on a systemic level. Zero flow throughout large swaths of the city.
Not entirely Waymo’s fault. There were so many people.
However, large lines and clusters of the white cars, inoperable, brought traffic to a stand still and to a level that appeared apocalyptic.
I heard that “servers were down.”
The Waymo cars could not move. We needed them to move and they were like white boulders in the streets. Lines and clusters of immovable boulders.
One was blocking a roadway and it was completely perpendicular to the road.
People had to evacuate the Marina by putting one foot in front of the other. I’ve never seen tens of thousands of people walking down a street until last night. Not even emergency vehicles could move.
The implications are ominous.
These autonomous vehicles should be able to be operated manually, if need be. Perhaps, by public safety officers and fire department personnel.
@Tesla They should have steering wheels (or something). @farzyness
@ArtemisConsort And why is the Asian guy always the froggy looking court jester type dude with a micro peen? That’s only 1/3 not 1/2! Just kidding. But, seriously, though.
@elonmusk Wow. If you guys can’t be White anymore then, they should refer to you as “off white,” or “peach,” or “chalky” for some groups.
“What ethnicity was the man?”
“He had none. Imagine a man with chalk on his face.”
@BriannaWu What exactly is scary? The low body fat? Men don’t need to hear it. I’m sure that only a fraction of a percent of men look like this, anyway.
@thehealthb0t We need to get back to the place where if someone says, “We should eat things printed in a warehouse. It would be better for the weather,” everyone would say, “That is a bizarre idea.”
My parents came from Bangkok Thailand. I watched The King and I many times as a child and couldn’t believe the persona that Yul Brynner achieved. Unbelievably accurate in every way. The simple gestures, the facial expressions, the pacing of speech, the old school masculinity. A Russian man made a young boy believe that he was as Thai as his own dad.
@GadSaad I just agree with everything this man says lately. Who is the counter personality to Gad Saad? Do I need a dose of that in order to remain objective? I don’t know if I can do it.
