Enjoys Mississippi political history. "Adventurer, currently pursuin' a certain opportunity but open to others as well." Available to judge pretty cow contests.
"we need renegades, brigands & pirates, we want their visions & breakthroughs, we want their spirit—go for broke, trust your brain, be wild...Buy that team, man that station, win that race & get so drunk you can barely grip the champagne bottle to wave it in the air"
"Just total devastation" after a tornado tore through Purvis, Mississippi, on Wednesday. A pastor describes gathering people to take shelter in a church, where they prayed and sang "Amazing Grace."
A hamburger in Stone County is being cooked 200 feet from the cattle that died to make it. It might be the best burger I have eaten in this state (present company excluded):

In 2018, on the occasion of Judge Jolly's 80th birthday & taking senior status, the Mississippi Law Journal included several tributes to Jolly with enjoyable stories: https://t.co/35BgT5gchR
The "dean among Mississippi judges" E. Grady Jolly retires from the bench today. 43 years active duty & senior status on US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals (began 30 July 1982). He ranks #100 in longevity of active duty judges; #16 of appeal judges in US history (35 years; 65 days).
When Judge Jolly took senior status in 2017, I wrote about the 1981 political contest between then Senator Thad Cochran & then Rep. Trent Lott to put Jolly on the Court. Jolly replaced J.P. Coleman on the Court; Cory Wilson replaced Jolly.

The 1925 Neshoba County Fair moving picture was "Baree, Son of Kazan" a silent film starring Anita Stewart, Joe Rickson, Jack Curtis, Donald Keith & Wolf (the Croix de Guerre awarded World War hero dog). Based on a 1917 novel & 1918 film no known prints of the 1925 film exist.
1925 Neshoba County Fair news: record attendance; prize winning Jersey cattle; pacing race accident but driver not seriously hurt; Ex-Gov Bilbo with enthusiastic crowd; criticisms of Gov Whitfield; proposal to tax cigars, cigarettes, snuff (possibly cosmetics) & lots of fiddling.
