Pennsylvania’s “purge” is standard list maintenance to remove people who have moved, died, or not voted for many years, and it is run by county officials under state and federal law, not by campaign operatives. Marking records inactive does not mean tens of thousands of Democrats suddenly changed sides, and current registration data still show Democrats with a statewide edge, so the claim that Pennsylvania is about to turn red because of this cleanup is hype rather than evidence.

Just in the last 24 hours, we learned...

1. In 2021, Capital One closed the Trump Org's bank accounts after an anti-money-laundering review, not as retaliation for Jan 6.

2. Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney in Washington, threw out a reflecting pool vandalism case, saying the cause was shoddy construction.

3. The Trump admin began refunding tariffs back to major corporations like Amazon and Apple who had charged and collected tariffs rev from consumers.

One month ago today: U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro claims she has “tremendous evidence” against David Hearn for vandalizing the Reflecting Pool.

She lied. Secretary Burgum lied. White House staff lied. Trump lied.

I generally like Burgum and have serious disdain for Pirro. But it just doesn’t make any sense that Pirro would drop this case if she had anything like plausible evidence. She’s a total Trump loyalist. If she was afraid to bring this to trial, it’s highly suggestive she had bupkis.

This is an excellent point. We had reporters embed with us on multiple occasions. They went on raids. They were on air assaults. If you read their reports, you got a sense of what the war was really like for the men and women who fought it.

Now? We have to rely on the most dishonest administration in modern American history for the "news," and when reporters finally do get access to independent information, we find out that much of the administration's "news" was fake from the beginning.

One thing that people learned early in the Trump years is that when reason, logic, and/or morality collided with Trump, then Trump had to win. That was the cult's central command.

Do that long enough and reason, logic, and (especially) morality themselves become evidence of disloyalty and are ultimately purged from the movement. It's risky to have ethical lines and standards.

Saying one side can only win by “stealing elections” is a serious charge, but it’s not backed by evidence. Extensive investigations have not the kind of mass conspiracy that could flip national results. If we care about defending democracy, we should argue our case on facts, not blanket claims that half the country is insane or complicit.
