@grok@zbitter@USA_Alpha76 Thanks. Is the controversy primarily around the ethics of his friendship with Epstein? Are critics suggesting Attia was engaged in the Epstein underage sex ring? What is the likelihood of that? What is the overall fairest critique?
@zbitter@USA_Alpha76@grok is it "unlikely based on timeline, publicly available info at the time and some of the email conversations" that Peter Attia didn't know Epstein's party lifestyle involved underage girls or anyone doing things against their will?
Please be objective.
@DrNadolsky RFK Jr has said plenty of nutty things. This isn't one
"... specific claim that he plans to "require" Coca-Cola to remove high fructose corn syrup is not supported by evidence"

@andyblarsen I sat in section 6. Heard some cheers, no boos. Most ppl didn't react. Def not half boos. Worth noting the announcement included something abt thanking the Biden administration. Anytime you invoke a politician, the response is as much a reaction to the politician as the statement
@mackinprof@robertallan87@yogikh@NBTiller@JPhysiol Lilja et al. demonstrated in younger populations ibuprofen blunts hypotrophy and strength. They used dosage strategies typically used in team sport setting (higher dose, longer duration)

@mackinprof@robertallan87@yogikh@NBTiller@JPhysiol Thanks Stu! Sry I mixed up MPS and hypertrophy
My tweet was referring to rel young athletes. My understanding was β hypertrophy in elderly w/ NSAIDS due to β in systemic inflammation typically seen in that population?
1/2
@robertallan87@yogikh@NBTiller@JPhysiol have used both of these options.
Bball players despise soreness and many feel it inhibits performance. It's also one of the things they can actually feel when significantly improved.
My thought was if perceived soreness was improved in both (or more in one or the other)

@robertallan87@yogikh@NBTiller@JPhysiol Thanks for sharing Robert, good stuff!
How do you think about CWI vs ibuprofen?
Both can make sense in the short term but blunt MPS and long-term muscular adaptations.
Is there a benefit of one over the other for acute recovery/performance? How would you decide which one?
@DiggerWilburton @SethersDPT @NBTiller@_willcompton@JPhysiol Yeah hard to know the cause. I did have different shoes each season so don't think it was that but π€·ββοΈ
I didn't strength train in season back then so maybe that would have helped
The pain always resolved within a week or so after the season so could have been a lack of recovery
@suzia_k @fmarino64 @JournalofESP@NBTiller@JPhysiol Thx for response! I could see potential benefit there! Prob also depends on tourney length?
Curious CWI effects on all soft tissue. If resistanve training broadly protective from injury & CWI blunts adaptation would that potentially β¬οΈ injury risk w/ longer timeframes w/ CWI?
