Looking back, it is amazing to see how small and consistent actions over time compound into meaningful opportunities and growth down the line.

One belief has guided me throughout my career, which is: It can be DONE, just find out HOW.

This mindset has helped me navigate challenges, learn new skills, build products, lead teams, and continuously push beyond boundaries in my space.

I'm grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey so far, and excited for what lies ahead.

@duolingo did something peculiar.

They went aggressive in their reactivation campaign, and it worked on me. I guess I will call this strategy Loss Aversion-Based Reactivation.

I stopped using Duolingo in 2025. At the time, I had a streak of over 500 days.

Today, they sent me an email nudging me to revive my longest streak by completing 3 quickfire lessons.

Guess who redownloaded the app and revived a 535-day streak?

Me.

We all know streaks work. They tap into consistency, habit, and our desire not to lose progress.

But the streak revival is on another level.

Instead of trying to convince me to start over, Duolingo reminded me of something I had already invested time and effort into building.

And just like that, I was back.

Sometimes, the best way to reactivate a user isn't by creating something new. It's by reconnecting them with the value they had already created for themselves.

Hats off to the team at Duolingo. This is superb.
