Frontline community health workers are essential to ending malaria and their voices deserve to be heard. ๐ Sharing this important report from @endmalaria and @DigitalScholarX capturing their experiences and insights. #EndMalaria#GlobalHealth ๐
What surprised us when we listened to the experiences of more than 1,000 health workers fighting malaria?
Their contributions became Malaria: Turning the Tide, the first peer-generated evidence base on malaria aligned with WHO normative guidance.
This post is a short selection of the contributions that surprised us most: working cases from named districts and named countries that read like natural experiments in malaria control.
See the first comment for links to the full report and articles.
We are thrilled to share a new publication by the @stop2030project team (which includes two of our 2025 interns): a scoping review on the cost-effectiveness of soil-transmitted helminthiasis intervention programmes.

Thanks to the team for sharing updates about our fixed dose co-formulation which targets ALL STH species, especially those with suboptimal response to current treatment.
The road to 2030 needs new tools. We're building them.

We were proud to join the 2026 NTD Program Managers Meeting in Malawi ๐ฒ๐ผ The theme, โinnovative tools + sustainable financing for NTD eliminationโ, is why
@stop2030project exists.
@YetundeSoneye's dedication to vulnerable populations (women, children, and people living with disabilities) is driving real change in Ogun State.
Her leadership is making an impact on NTD elimination and public health across the region.

@DrJulieJ was delighted to meet Dr @YetundeSoneye, a Mwele Malecela Mentorship Program Mentee, at the 2026 Annual Meeting of NTD Program Managers in Malawi last week! Dr. Soneye is the Ogun State NTD Coordinator and also a mother of 4 and member of the FGS Society of Nigeria.
๐ขThe Malaria Vaccine Alliance is coming soon! ๐ With funding and leadership from @coeff_giving, Bridges will support the creation of a coordinated structure to accelerate next-gen malaria vaccines. If you work in this field, we'd value your input: ๐ https://t.co/Az3oXSDXBT
Join partners of the FGS Integration Group as well as @giz.de @bmz.de today for a webinar on strengthening financing for Female Genital Schistosomiasis (FGS), which is essential to advancing womenโs health, equity, and integrated NTD responses!
Integration is the path to elimination. Today, Bridges & @GLIDE_AE explored how to break silos in global health. From @WHO HQ to national programs in Ghana & Kenya, the consensus is clear: Schistosomiasis care must be integrated into routine SRHR and primary health services. ๐
Health is a right, not a privilege. We heard this from Bridges' new fellow, Dr Victoria Gamba, about the FGS minimum service package in Kenya. The new WHO AFRO Technical Advisory Group and FIG agree, the goal is simple: ensure the patient journey ends in diagnosis and treatment.

Check out @effecthope important blog about health equity for #InternationalWomensDay! Female Genital Schistosomiasis (#FGSchisto) is a powerful example of what health inequity can look like. FGS is a hidden crisis affecting millions of women and girls. https://t.co/E8r6o5jZjS
