"Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?” He said, “But I will be with you.” Exodus 3:10-12
He did not say: “You are somebody.“
He said: “I will be with you.“
Jesus came to set us free from the curse of sin and death. And to lead us through this life.
In the midst of all of that leaves us broken and hurting, we have a place to look. We have a Savior to look to. And that means our hearts have every reason to rejoice.
"Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord?” Genesis 18:13-14
No.
Therefore, take heed not to laugh at news too good to be true, or weep at news too painful to be good.
Preparing for a “blessed” new year.
“Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2
The child who we celebrate at Christmas is the Mighty God who has come to us. Jesus identified with us in every way yet was without sin and has saved us through His finished work in the cross and resurrection. #praytheword https://t.co/ziASEFTogB
"In that day, declares the Lord, I will gather those whom I have afflicted; ... and the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion
from this time forth and forevermore.” Micah 4:6-7
If the Lord’s affliction has brought repentance, not resentment.
