Netflix thought combat sports is a movie and 60 year old Mike Tyson would Rocky the shit out of this and defeat the young villain shit talker. In reality, we just watched 8 rounds of elder abuse in low definition. #TysonPaul

Padres manager Mike Shildt, when asked about Dave Roberts’ comments on Manny Machado:
‘Listen, I got into this game to help players get the most out of their God-given ability and to compete on the field and respect the opponent. I'm not nor will I ever disparage another player on another team, especially anybody I've managed in the past nor will I do it to a collective team. That's not how I want to operate.
I have a lot of respect for their club, the players on their club.
As far as Manny goes, it's unfortunate people can't move on from things from the past. I thought Manny's exhibition of professionalism and leadership were on display the other night in a very tough environment.’
Tonight the Padres:
- gave up a grand slam
- only scored in one inning
- didn't score after the 2nd inning
No other team in MLB history has done all of that and yet still won the game (regular season or postseason).
Two days ago, the #Padres called Jorge Alfaro's agent & told him they wanted him to come from Miami to throw the first pitch.
Alfaro: "I thought he was joking. I got excited. ... I walk into the stadium, so many feelings. San Diego is always gonna have a big place in my heart."
I think it says a lot about the Padres and forgiveness that, even after having Dodgers fans throw things at them from the bleachers, they continue hitting balls into the bleachers for Dodgers fans to throw at them.
"It felt like an NBA game, you know, when you're dunking on guys." 😂
