I'm a veteran former Los Angeles Times reporter and staff writer. For them not to endorse a candidate is alarming. But the Washington Post? The paper that broke Watergate? Something is broken. This is not normal.
Remember watching this in real time with a close friend on tv. We were on the phone. Total shock and disbelief. He worked for a financial company based in the Nordics, and his leadership was so horrified (because this was SO F*CKED UP!!) that they gave the American team the rest of the day off from work.
Universal masking and social distancing at the start of the pandemic were so effective that they eliminated a strain of flu, and now annual flu vaccines have been redesigned because that strain no longer needs to be included in the shot. Amazing.
