I went into @Lowe's specifically because of their silly sweepstakes that crashed nationwide, but I checked online and waited in a queue for 1 hour and 30 minutes only to not be able to register... I guess I'll just ask nicely... May I please have a gift card (preferably 10k)?

@danacoledares Thank you for reaching out. I might be interested. It depends on timing/topic. I'm an elementary teacher at a Teacher-powered school, so talking about secondary absenteeism might not be up my alley, but talking about school culture is.
@Jacquel85457020 @HarveyAlvy1 Agreed- Districts and schools need to look for ways to create ownership and build a culture that students and teachers can buy into and see themselves being productive and valued within it. #edchat
Absenteeism is, in part, a symptom of "gamefying" everything. If you play a video game, you get an instant reward- that cannot always happen in a school environment. Also, if you don't like a TikTok, you can swipe to the next one...you can't swipe a teacher away. #edchat
@LevelUpAcadMN @ambernespinosa1 @mdandelet Thanks for the inspiring school tour yesterday, and the great collaboration to feature how we build school leaders from within. You Rock! #teacherpowered#GetOnTheBus
The origin of Memorial Day trace back to 1865 when freed slaves started a tradition to honor fallen Union soldiers and to celebrate emancipation and commemorate those who died for that cause.
