@stevenowottny@FullFact All claiming that UK needs lower Corp tax to promote growth / inward investment - we already have (relatively) low Corp tax, and (relatively) high rates of inward investment
@iamrofe Not really related to the journo page layouts idea (like it tho) more a build on the mere exposure effect in marketing..."cultural imprinting" concept challenges the idea that personalised exposures work as effectively as simultaneous / mass exposures https://t.co/xy8ldSEiGY
To hear the low-tax proposals of @Conservatives leader candidates you'd be forgiven for thinking that the UK was a high tax-er on things like #corporationtax - we're not. I'd welcome a chart that shows relationship to inward investment but think US & South Korea do pretty well?
wonder if our politicians really think about our country like a brand - and whether different decisions (or behaviours) would be made if they did? this is from @FutureBrand Country Brand Index 2020 - and it might be a better indicator of inward investment decisions?
@FullFact might not be quite your gig, but is anyone tracking the use of passive voice "mistakes were made" "a debate needs to be had" by politicians - it's driving me π€ͺ and I think there's an inverse relationship between honesty and passive language https://t.co/bWAFY4yeZ2

@prweekuknews Nice gestures but you English folk are encouraging the idea that you can't do PR with a wee hangover. Score goals, sing, then grab some Junior Disprin and go do this thing #itsnumbinggroans
