Be advised, Palmer Fire, Warren Fire and Brimfield Fire are currently operating on the Mass Pike for an MVA. No injuries. Westbound lane is completely shut down at MM 66.8 while crews clean up the spill.
At 11:20 PM last night Troopers, firefighters and EMS responded to a chain-reaction crash involving approx 15 vehicles — inc multiple tractor trailers and personal vehicles — on the Pike EB in Brimfield. Multiple victims transported. Icing on road believed to be cause.
At approximately 5:25am, the Holland Fire Department was toned for a fully involved structure fire. First arriving engines found heavy fire coming from the back side of the structure and already self venting through the roof.
Today the fire prevention division worked with the local bus company to teach fire extinguisher operations and how to evacuate a bus filled with smoke.
