I still don’t think enough people acknowledge that this man went from homeless to being one of the most popular and critically acclaimed artists of a generation
@SkiMaskChris_@laurynslounge I know what u mean but I think he does want to be the face of hip hop— cemented as the greatest. Just not the pop culture, celebrity face of hip hop. Kendrick always been respectful to the tradition of hip hop as an art. Aside from the beef Drake is a polar opposite in this sense
@AaronBroug75407@AceFruitPicker@theneedledrop Nah fr. I remember Pusha T talked about how Drake doesn’t speak on any Black issues, which is why the blackface cover for Story of Adidon was so powerful. So Drake coming at Kendrick for that never came off too strong for me
Drake makes peterpan music. ie music for people who dont want to grow up because he refuses to grow up! He's almost 40, never married, a baby daddy, surrounded by sychophants, gambling and still makes vapid music about rapping about stealing people's girlfriends
horrible comparison, Frank dropped a project to get out of his deal then dropped a generational album the next day and secured millions independently
Drake just dropped 3 piles of steamy shit
Charlamagne Tha God reacts to the recently leaked Drake song "1 AM In Albany," criticizing Drake for sounding like a "sore loser" 👀
"I hope this isn't what 'ICEMAN' is about. Because if it is, I'm gonna just assume we callin' Drake 'ICEMAN' because he's frozen in time."
"Get over the L you took to Kendrick already because this record just continues the conversation that Drake is the biggest sore loser rap has ever seen."
