They're more outraged by non-existent trans women playing in the WNBA than they are about real pedophiles raping kids and the government covering it up.
Reminder:
Promoting anti-intellectualism is a tool of authoritarian regimes. Historically, they target universities, scientists, and journalists to attack critical thinking, suppress dissent, and replace objective truth with party propaganda.
Sound familiar?
Trump is using the power of the government regulatory state to coerce companies into turning over huge ownership stakes in their businesses to the federal government while calling Democrats communists.
@atrupar It’s not about you bitch. Just like your vote for RFK wasn’t about you. It’s about the American people and how our healthcare, and now our justice system, will suffer because of your cowardice.
NEW: The D.C. Circuit ruled 2-1 that Trump can't just demolish and replace chunks of the White House without congressional approval. Next stop: Supreme Court.

“Corporations will create jobs if we give them more tax breaks,” was a myth created by CEOs to get more tax breaks.
They got more huge tax breaks from Trump and Republicans…
…and their profits are up, and jobs are down.
A reminder that Republicans want you to believe that Covid came from a Chinese laboratory but also it was totally harmless, less deadly than the flu, and didn’t require any protections.
Hunter Biden: “As it relates to Donald Trump, fuck him. Fuck his son. Fuck his daughter. I mean it, all of them, the whole family down to the grandchildren. I hope for the rest of time their names will live ignominy. They have done the most awful things to my family and to me”
The strangest thing about the MAGA freakout over Fauci is that Trump was his boss - and ran the government - during the entire period they are so mad about.
Sometimes I would wonder if Glen Hansard really existed….
Seriously, he was such an angelic presence… not otherworldly…in fact, very present this presence…
A smiling rascal if you needed him to be… this most musical and mischievous archangel of Ballymun… no airs, plenty of graces...
Of course, Glen was the shining star of the Christmas Eve busk… sometimes the only one reminding the rest of us that Christmas began with a refugee born in a manger, which is hardly a step from living on the street.
To be utterly yourself by being more interested in others - a clue for any of us trying out different personas. He really was who you thought he was. He could never walk by a person living rough without checking they were OK… and more than that, he worked very hard so that less people had to live on the streets in the first place.
When the crowds got bigger and for safety’s sake Glen had to agree to move the busk to a stage kindly provided outside The Gaiety Theatre, he would say 'we’ll give it our best but it’s not a busk if we’re not on the street!’ …because that’s who he was - a performer at eye level in any situation. The stage was a separation he wouldn’t recognize. Of all the grand and gigantic venues he and The Frames played, you sensed the street was his most favoured place to perform. And street people, his favourite audience.
Voice of the streets. A choir of angels in one man. The rest of us blessed to stand there beside our very own and very earthed Angel Gabriel… All of us welcome in his choir, whatever shape or form.
….and I’m telling myself this morning that if he never existed, then he can never cease to exist. For me, he will always be everywhere I see a coin spinning into an open guitar case.
May you rest in the peace you gave to so many.

Glen Hansard was so much more than just the guy from ‘Once.’ He was a rock star, synthesizer and serenader, a busker and bard, a jazzman and a mystic, a hushed folk whisperer and showbiz soul belter.

They are cowards. They can't stand to see Kennedy's name -- and his name alone -- on the Kennedy Center. Historians should marvel that half of American society, including one of our major political parties, was organized to protect one politician's crazy, fragile ego.
Neil deGrasse Tyson: “There’s an intellectual scientific vacuum that is descending upon the US and that has consequences. If you’re okay with the US losing its scientific leadership, you will get the country you voted for. That country is one where we will no longer innovate. We will be less secure, less healthy, and less wealthy because some community of people who influence what this country is do not see the value of science”
