Throughout the implementation, BRITE together with @RwandaPolytec built the capacity of 300+ trainers on blended learning approaches enhancing their training/teaching experience.
As part of the Project sustainability, BRITE Project implemented by @EDCtweets in partnership with @youngafricawks and @Ak_Access handed over today to @RwandaPolytec, ICT equipment to promote blended learning within IPRCs.
The students are being supported under the project titled “Strengthening Collaborations to Enhance Pathways to Dignified & Fulfilling Work” a project in partnership with @MastercardFdn
This week EDC,, @MastercardFdn, and @Ak_Access celebrated the handover of the @brite_project1 to the Rwandan Ministry of Education. In just 2 years the project developed 144 e-learning materials which directly reached 4,289 TVET students
During the handover event, Hon. Minister of State in Charge of ICT and TVET @ClaudetteIrere remarked that @brite_project1 had achieved a lot in just two years and at a time when e-learning materials were especially needed in the Rwandan TVET system.

Yesterday 13th Dec. 2022, at IPRC Kigali, 47 students, 22 from Mechatronics offered at @IPRCKigali & 25 from the Food Processing offered at @IPRCMusanze, attended an orientation on e-Work Based Learning (e-WBL)&Baseline Skills evaluation.@Rwanda_Edu@MastercardFdn@brite_project1
BRITE is conducting an orientation on its e-Work Based Learning materials for 40+ students from @IPRCMusanze & @IPRCKigali who are part of the @RwandaPolytec-@MastercardFdn Innovation Pilot Program. The materials will help better prepare them for the industrial attachment.
Today Rwanda TVET received 150 tablets and 43 laptops and other various ICT equipment from The BRITE Project implemented by @EDCtweets in partnership with @youngafricawks as part of the program sustainability and the promotion of blended learning within the TVET system.

Staff from the @brite_project1 team (@EDCtweets & @Ak_Access) are excited to be part of the meeting where these important CBT/CBA frameworks are being validated with other members of the task force.
Happening Now : #TQUM together with @RTB_Rwanda and DPs are having a meeting of the taskforce in CBT/CBA implementation for final approval of CBC Development , CBT/CBA implementation and TVET Trainer Certification frameworks . The meeting is being held at #RTTI.
During the past 2 years, BRITE has worked in partnership w/ @MastercardFdn and @Ak_Access to support @RTB_Rwanda & @RwandaPolytec; the fruits of these efforts are evident: engaging e-learning materials for TVET students & trainers able to use #blendedlearning in their schools.
EDC’s BRITE project in Rwanda has given Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students access to e-learning materials, strengthening the Rwandan TVET system's capacity to implement blended learning instruction, while helping build important digital literacy skills.
Congratulations to the graduates! The @brite_project1 was happy to support this digital literacy training alongside @RTB_Rwanda@DSkillsfdn@giz_rwanda. As more trainers are equipped with these important skills, #blendedlearning will become a more commonly used teaching approach.
Happening shortly in IPRC Kigali Stadium: The graduation ceremony of 2500 Technical Secondary Schools Teachers who went through a training program on Digital Literacy.
The blended training was conducting by Rwanda TVET Board in collaboration with @giz_rwanda from 3- 10/ 2022
The main objectives of this material are to help students to:
1. Understand what is sexual harassment
2. Detect its signs
3. Know their rights to receive support and follow up
4. Identify ways to prevent it
5. Understand how to report a case
Yesterday, the BRITE Project met with the Hon. Minister of ICT and TVET @Rwanda_Edu, @RTB_Rwanda's Director General and @RwandaPolytec Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor to introduce the new
e-material on sexual harassment for students.
