I called my brother tonight to tell him that there was a curfew in place so to not go on his nightly walk after dark. His response was “whats the worst they are they gunna do, arrest me?” That statement gave me goosebumps.

My brother, as a white male, can afford to walk in our neighborhood, carrying a weapon, just as he always does and not be afraid for his life. I don’t have to worry about him coming home from his nightly walks every night. That fact hurts my soul.
