We had a WELL DESERVED celebration with our students and families today! Teaching virtual and in-person is hard, but these kids showed up every day, happy about it and ready to learn in both places. We have great students & supportive families that made it happen!

Our new lifeskills project on tools has been so much fun this week! S’s made a building plan and are constructing planter boxes to take home. This week we worked on sanding the wood, drilling holes and hammering it together. They are so excited to begin painting tomorrow!

@brix_edwards13 You should sign up for the free Zoosday events with the KC zoo! It’s 2x a month and they send packets for the kids to record info as they see the animals!

A simple ice melt experiment this morning helped to keep my kids engaged for TWO HOURS as we kept checking in on the melting! They all wanted to see if their prediction was right. 😂

Our students and their families joined us today for a holiday celebration making gingerbread houses together. They were so creative in getting them to stay up with the supplies they were given. Santa even stopped to say hello! @HMC1Ingels #stemathome #holidaystem
