I think people underestimate how much of the internet is already human made slop. It’s well over half. I don’t really care if click bait trash sites are using AI. The problem is when quality content is being replaced. AI didn’t invent slop.
Before ChatGPT, more than 98 per cent of all English-language articles published on the internet were written by humans. By the fall of 2024, machines were writing around half.

@_Zeets The thing is, the internet was ruined years ago by click-bait and human made slop. Half of internet articles were shit long before ChatGPT. I don't really care if the human made slop is replaced with AI slop.
@ChadNotChud Even if I go into an office, I'm sitting at a desk all day, while the guy fixing my house is doing physical labor. Isn't that still immoral by his logic?
The most radicalizing content on the internet is old footage of Americans shopping in stores 25 years ago.
It's calm, quiet, civil, no fighting, no screaming, no phones, it's not overly crowded.
You can't quite describe it, but you miss it so deeply.
