We’re excited to host our inaugural workshop on collaboration + inclusion at NeurIPS tomorrow! Starting at 9 am in rooms 394-395, we’ll discuss how we can create more opportunities for researchers located everywhere and of all backgrounds to collaborate on ideas together. 🧵
So honored to have won the best paper award for @broadercollabs at NeurIPS 2022! Shout out to the organizers putting up such a successful program addressing this important topic of research collaboration. Thank you to all of our collaborators!
Honored to have won (my first) best paper award at the @broadercollabs NeurIPS workshop! Thank you to the organizers for putting together a spectacular program, and I hope to see a 2nd Broadening Research Collaborations workshop in the near future 😃
🚨The best paper and the honourable mention award goes to ...
1. Train Offline, Test Online: A Real Robot Learning Benchmark. [Best paper]
2. Petals: Collaborative Inference and Fine-tuning of Large Models. [honorable mention]
Congratulations to the authors!!
🚨 Here are the 4 finalists for the workshop's best paper awards, not in any order.
1⃣ Petals: Collaborative Inference and Fine-tuning of Large Models.

1/6 🧵..
At 2pm, @EmtiyazKhan will give our second keynote discussing his experience on creating self-sustaining communities. Shortly after we’ll have a Q&A live as well.
The second panel is happening right now. We have a very diverse panel consisting of people from academia, industry and funding agencies. Finally it's moderated by @sarahookr.
I have to be on this panel in an hour (!), but I feel unprepared so I used ChatGPT to get familiar with the topic. Seeing its first response, I asked again adding "for 8 year olds".. OK I think I'm ready for the panel! 👶
From 12:15 to 1pm, we’ll have our next 3 contributed talks. (4) @vdean314 on a new robot benchmark to democratize robot learning, (5) Christopher Akiki on the social construction of a multilingual LLM, (6) Shiro Takagi on using Github for organizing the research project workflow
Then we’ll have a lunch break during which we’ll have our poster sessions from 11:15-12:15pm. We’ll be having 15 stellar posters for you to check out. Check out the posters and the papers ahead of time on our workshop site: https://t.co/DInYy9dFk9
After that, from 9:30-10:15 we’ll have our first panel hosted by @savvyRL on the rise of community-driven research, featuring great panelists @JJitsev, @colinraffel, @jasonyo.
