I like Adunni Ade. She’s not the audio type who just threaten to sue only to forgive and forget later. It is this attitude of forgiveness that has led us to this situation whereby bloggers and internet users post whatever they want online solely for engagements.

On the 3rd May, 2024, she sued Polance Media Limited (publishers of https://t.co/3USeTVj2pT) for publishing a defamatory story against her wherein the blog alleged that she’s in a romantic relationship with Senator Dino Melaye. The court awarded 20m in her favour.

We need more people like Adunni Ade who are always willing to test the law and protect their reputation online. We won’t be here today if everyone knows that if you post anything defamatory or share any fake news on the internet, there will be consequences. We will get there one day.
