A mistake that cost me years. I thought preparing was the same as progressing.

The reason good engineers get 10x more out of AI than people who didn't write code in the before-times, is that there's basically no need for insane tricks to get what you want from the model

It's not "Make a plan, then do an adversarial review of it, then ask another model to critique the plan, then implement the tests, then write the code that passes the tests and make a PR. Then write a summary of the PR and generate a video of that summary for me to watch TikTok style".

It's "do exactly what the fuck I said, I'll read the code when you're done"

i just went on a walk and instead of listening to my music, i had gpt’s voice mode on and learned a lot about aws services, stateless / stateful designs and scaling patterns

it’s actually really fun being able to talk back and forth and explaining my thoughts to gpt as if it’s my personal tutor

For better or worse, this is an evidence-based world.

Thinking that you will get in without the required evidence is unrealistic.

For instance, when someone says, "I have a 3rd class but I am very smart, even smarter than some 1st class."

I don't doubt you. But you need to bring evidence of that smartness.

Do you have an advanced degree that cures the 3rd class?

Have you built a best-selling app?

Or created a successful business?

Or acquired some difficult certifications?

And so on.

In short, you will need to provide proof of whatever it is you say, especially if you are hoping to get a benefit from making such statements.

Unsubstantiated assertions hold little weight in these proceedings. Matter of...fact.

With all due respect, Distinguished Hon. Minister @realdaveumahi, while we understand the need to protect critical infrastructure, we must avoid creating needless silos. I believe this is a federal road and critical infrastructure; why not employ the Federal Road Safety Corps @FRSCNigeria or the @NSCDCrops as coastal road guards? Creating a new outfit outside the legislation will not give them lawful power to make arrests and their operations may be counterproductive.

We raised this issue when Hon. Minister Dele Alake wanted to create mining marshals like this, before he listened and had to deploy the NSCDC. We must be careful with the over-militarization of the state with silos when we can use what we already have. 🚔
