@Protestia I think no singing during the convention except before the convention sermon. Let’s do that on Sunday and Monday and handle business on Tuesday and Wednesday…by all means quit calling to question when we’re discussing something of significance.

@JaredCBurt I’m for the Ammendment and hated the call to question. It’s disingenuous to state your position and then not allow another to speak in favor of theirs. I do disagree with your statement about “there being no good arguments…and debate would be “detrimental”.

A pet peeve re: the SBC annual meeting is when the question is called before a motion has had the chance to be debated adequately. It’s a shrewd tactic but it’s poor form & doesn’t serve the messengers well. You don’t need to strong-arm a strong motion. #sbc26

@BrianDembo The President allowed him to speak first because he made the motion. This same procedure has happened at past confrences. I do hat the early call to question. People should be allowed to speak to the matter at hand.
