We shut the borders for the better part of two years for a little virus that boomers were scared of, in the process destroying the lives of young Australians. As a thanks, they ramped immigration to the highest levels on record and printed billions of dollars out of thin air - all of which went into assets they already owned. They priced their own children out of ever affording shelter in this country. They are a moral abomination. The fact we can't even get a candidate to admit that mass immigration is destroying this country speaks to how corrupt these people are. If there's no attempt to actually address the massive housing crisis facing Australians, particularly young Australians, then the solutions proposed in the next election, then the one after that, will become increasingly extreme; and they will be justified. What good is an economy if you have nowhere to live? What good is an economy where all the old people who no longer work bask in McMansions in their retirement, enjoying 30 years of non-productive activity paid for by a slave class that has nothing to aspire to? What good is an economy when it's corrupted and controlled by a class of people intent on destroying everything to eek out a few more good years for themselves; nevermind the future, just loot everything and run. What good is an economy where everyone is treated as an equal fungible input of economic activity? Where person A can be replaced by Person B from overseas because B is cheaper (nevermind they don't have the same cultural values). What good is an economy where politicians lie through their teeth to get re-elected, intent on maintaining the status quo that only benefits them? What good is an economy where mainstream media journalists - many of whom are funded by your tax dollars - spew propaganda at you all day long; mostly read by old people. What good is an economy where the major demographic voting bloc has no incentive to build for the future because they'd rather extract everything they can from the present? What good is THIS economy?
