Ossoff: Just think, 250 years on, what the founders would see if they visited us today.
But wait, they would see that slavery had been abolished. They would see that Americans without land, and then women, and then the descendants of slaves had secured voting rights.
They would see that our science and discovery propelled human knowledge to unimaginable heights and that those thirteen colonies had grown into a superpower that defeated the Nazis and Communism.
They'd see a pluralist democracy, people of all colors descended from every point on Earth, stitched together out of many nations into one.
@FictionPress And now, stats for all of today are down as well and I can only assume will be down until that's addressed too. Anyone else have stats down since today as well?
@FictionPress I don't know if anyone's had this problem, but I was PM'ing a friend on FF and somehow part of our conversation is now... deleted? As in I checked back and instead of the last messages we exchanged; it went back to when we talked 18hrs ago earlier instead of just a few.
@StormyRaptor@FictionPress No, I can't access anything. The connection between the DNS server and the FF host server times out so I can't do anything. Refresh? Timed out. Every time. But the thing is some people have no trouble, it seems only a few certain DNS servers are having issues.
@FictionPress I'm having the same issue with sending long messages as well to another author on PMs, what is the cause of this? We were doing fine yesterday, but today? No dice.
Small ones are fine. But longer than 200 characters seem to not go out.
All I get is the "Message sent" window.
https://t.co/l3FlX5FhJ1 is serving millions of active readers/authors world-wide and a fictional site hosting stories and poetry. We have a very strict policy on sexual content and sexual content related to child abuse. On July 12th, @GoDaddy deactivated dns-resolution for our domain due to a dozen links of fictional content they deemed broke their "ChildAbuse" policy. Godaddy sent the dozen links to us on July 9th.
Our human staff between July 10th 6PM-10PM PST time validated every link and removed the content that broke our policies regarding sexual abuse content. The list even contained a link that contained no sexual abuse of any kind. That why we human verify every abuse report. We officially replied to Godaddy on July 12th even though content was removed on July 10th.
Yet on July 12th, our https://t.co/l3FlX5FhJ1 domain was disconnected from the dns eco-system, with zero notification/communication, causing 100% operational disconnection including email, website, app login, etc.
Our staff called in to Godaddy on July 12th and was assured 24 hour reply. It has been more than 24 hours and we are still getting no response. @Godaddy, please expediate the review process so we can get dns back again. Again, we received zero communication on the dns deactivation and our communication is limited to [email protected] email which we have replied to on July 12th, and July 13th via multiple emails.
To our users, please be patient as we work hard to get this resolved but as detailed above, this is entirely out of our control at the moment.
If you personally know anyone at @Godaddy, please help us and let them know to expediate this matter and establish bi-directional contact with us.

Web story stats function is slowly getting restored. There are hundreds of millions of backlogged data points we need to re-process. We will monitor restoration progress as it may take couple of days to catch up.
@FictionPress To be honest, after a while I had a feeling that FF's been taking the Hello Games strategy of just taking it slow and doing the work. Even while some of us were angry, we have to remember taking care of a site like FF with so many users and stories; probably takes a long while.
@FictionPress If there's anyone out there who has been harassed by this guy and his spam accounts since his style of abuse is very similar. Report him here or via FF's email. We have to get rid of him, this guy's been getting away with this for too long.
@FictionPress So uh, I know this isn't the best place for this but there's a habitual abusive reviewer that I think has been terrorizing the community. His name is Darth Tenibris2 and he has now gone so far as to make spam accounts to continue his harassments. One such account is ForevergoneHA
