@garonnevik funny! rings very true to me. Hospital asked me to rate my pain from 1-10 when I went in laboring with my first. Didn't know how bad it could get, so I guessed I was maybe a 6? Turned out I was 9cm dilated, and it never got much worse.

@crowcialist Yup. Went to look at a fic by an author I know uses AI to some degree (apparent through other written tells) and sure enough, the first chapter ends on a sentence like that! "He stops on that step and sinks down. Zooms in on Ilya’s face and wishes...".

@crowcialist I have encountered AI writing most in fanfic, and it definitely shows up there. I haven't seen it documented like other AI tells, but you get these blocks of flowery non-plot description and these short emotive sentences. dont have an example offhand tho.

@bbgirlprince I stopped reading chernobog when a paragraph full of classic AI tells jumped out at me. Looked at it just now and that paragraph has since been deleted. Not definitive, but enough for me to stop reading and feels like enough to highlight for others who might make that choice too.
