I took the MCAT 3x. My score dropped 7 points between my second and third attempts. I graduated with a 2.1 uGPA and a 1.9 sGPA. I never gave up and I’ve honored every semester of med school so far; I’m not just surviving, but thriving, and I believe in you. Keep going 💕
I’ll never forget the excitement I felt after opening this email. One year later, it still feels unreal to be here.
Grateful to be a part of something special @KansasCityU.
The @FIFAWorldCup 2026™ will have its 23rd tournament, returning to the US for the 2nd time after 1994. #KansasCity is one of 17 candidate host cities in consideration to host matches and we would love to see our city be a part of this historical event!

My little 5-year old leukemia patient, all grown up, received her white coat today as a medical student at UVA. No words to describe my feelings about this miracle, but the picture is worth a thousand words (tweeting with her permission).
Thx, I’m just transitioning to a 50% teaching position as Director of Population and Public Health, Professor, Curriculum and Integrated Learning at Kansas City University which I believe is the 5th largest medical school in the USA.
We are pleased to welcome 600 new students from all programs back to both campuses, bringing our total student body to nearly 2,000. Best wishes for a great year to those who are on clinical rotations, as well!
