According to the Progress Action Fund, Twitter banned the following political ad that they had placed on Twitter/X, and then their account was shadow banned.
The ad below, entitled “Republicans In Your Bedroom,” which PAF says was intended for the August 8 election in Ohio was taken down, according to the group.
Progress Action Fund believes this ad was taken down due to Elon Musk having a “far-right political agenda.” I decided to check the Twitter ad policy, and that policy does say that the promotion of “adult sexual content” is not permitted.
Some of the examples of of this content would include the following:
•Full and partial nudity
•Modeled clothing that is sexual in nature
I think that perhaps this ad could be deemed to fall under the second bullet point, but I believe that would be quite a reach. That would mean that virtually all swimwear ads would also be prohibited.
I think Twiitter/X owes an explanation for this. Was this ad really banned? If so, why? Also why is the aforementioned account shadow banned (if that is true)?
What are everyone’s thoughts? Should this ad be permitted on Twitter? If not, why not?

Somewhere between 1 out of every two and one out of every three Kansas City residents who died over the past decade was due to a combination of just 6 factors. Lack of robust social connections was one of those 6.
Social connections help protect health and lengthen life. Scientists are finding that our links to others can affect our health. Social connections can influence our biology and well-being, whether with family, friends, neighbors, romantic partners, or others.

The extreme heat was not just your imagination. It was hot! July 3-5 are the hottest days on record since at least 1940. Heat records were broken around the globe.

So help me out @GOP is this big government or small government? Are Republican AGs some sort of morality police for the free market? If consumers don't like what Target is doing, they can go to Kohls. That's the free market concept of the economy. https://t.co/t7GgWySwlK
Bad policy reduces life expectancy and increases the chances of dying early. This might have been avoided if the Supreme Court followed common sense ethics rules.
According to a new @KFF poll, "68 percent of OBGYNs said the effects of Dobbs have made the management of pregnancy-related medical emergencies worse, while 64 percent said the ruling has worsened pregnancy-related mortality."

This message at the new Platte County Health Department reminds us of the primary importance of prevention over attempting a cure.
If there even is a cure.
Dr. Bruce Dart, Tulsa County Health Department Director and Executive Committee member of the international Public Health Accreditation Board gave the keynote address to standing room only crowd of several hundred supporters for the dedication ceremony of the new location.
Brilliant work quantifying the economic burden of health (& education) disparities. In 2018, racial and ethnic health disparities cost the U.S. economy $451 billion, a 41% increase from the previous estimate of $320 billion in 2014. Prevention best buy.

This is important for all elected officials to understand. Our residents in KCMO overwhelmingly voted to approve the Kansas City Health Department inspecting rental properties to ensure that residents were protected from the landlords who were not providing safe housing.
