As psychologists, and as educators, lifelong learning is necessary to both understand harms done in the past, as well as to work to make amends and better our impact going forward. That includes allyship in action.
Some months ago, we decided to start work on an education/awareness project called Language Matters! We reached out to @GSDSIC to see if they would collab on our first installment. Just in time for #PrideMonth we are excited to share what we've developed!
We can't let the week end without wishing our School Counsellor friends a "Happy School Counsellor's week!" 😊You are so valued and appreciated for all the work you do. Thank you for being simply AMAZING! Have a great Friday and weekend! @NLCPA@NLESDCA

We blinked and it's September again! 😜
The psychologists of NLESD are excited to welcome students back to school tomorrow! While there may be unknowns in the year ahead, what we know for certain is that we missed you all summer and can't wait to see you again! 🧠❤️
We would like to wish everyone a wonderful, restful, restorative long weekend! This is a great opportunity to unplug and spend some time outside. Let's see if we can reduce our screen time this weekend and find some other activities to nurture our spirits!

It can be discouraging to hear that Canadians are feeling "negative" emotions, but it's actually healthy to feel a full range of emotions.
Recognizing, understanding and processing our feelings is a sign of good #MentalHealth! #GetReal@ubcnews
