We're incredibly proud of Simon Griffiths, who has conquered his 1,500km solo ride from RAF Gibraltar to RAF Benson.
Not only has he completed the challenge but he's smashed his £5,000 target & there's still time to donate:

🎉Congratulations Simon!🎉
@_VN5@graeme_cobb Agree that Sentry can have a good impact (I reckon on 3% per day in mine), but with sentry off it can sit on my drive and lose absolutely nothing over the course of a week.
@graeme_cobb My LR AWD was showing an average of 234 Wh/mile (4.27 mpkwh) pre Christmas for it’s initial 4500 miles, since taken a dip to 247Wh/mile average (seeing somewhere around 255-280 over a charge depending on temp and drivecycle) - less of a dip than I was expecting for winter.
@graeme_cobb I’ve had mine since July and would say that it isn’t awful (no worse than, for example my MX5 with right hand indicator stalk), but you just need to ensure you remember which car you are in and adjust accordingly. It’s just.. different.
@ciclobyron@humphbecket I have found the octopus electroverse card a really useful way to cut down on the many other apps and cards… not totally all-encompassing, but very good!
@humphbecket Don’t think of charging as you would refuelling - it is something that can mostly happen when the car is idle - I.e. overnight or while you are doing something else… On the rare times you need them, then ultra-rapids really are just that!
It was Mini-Monday for work transport yesterday, since the Jag went last week, which means today is new car day - time for a collection caper, which will provide quite a contrasting drive!
Went for a test drive yesterday in the new model 3 performance. Wow, this thing is incredible - mind-bendingly fast, but also super refined and practical. Not sure the man-maths quite stretches this far though…
