@the_wynns Welcome to New Zealand! The weather has been a bit rubbish, so I hope the crossing wasn't too horrible for you. Looking forward to watching your next videos. Hope MIQ is going well.
I am with her. I really am. I think itโs a ridiculous expectation personally, some will spend months mucking about, others will have a phd from uni of parent by the end... Gap. Widening.
@Mr_Mitchell96 40 years in! Still learning. Still mess up. Still loving it more than ever! Some of my best lessons have been when I've had to 'wing' it or just 'followed my nose'. Keep trying.
@MSNPrimary Loved this so much that I tried it yesterday. Students had started their first double page spread on Milky Way. Did a TAG routine, tell something you like, ask a question and give advice. Silence while they wrote for each other. Thanks for sharing
Thanks @MrBoothY6 for bringing this to my attention. Spent 10 mins with 3 Y5s today who only knew their 2s-5s & 10s. They learnt the 8s in minutes, as well as vocab like double, triple, half & squared. Iโve not been blown away by a method for a long time but WOW. Ty @missrwardle!
Love this bar model activity that @missrwardle sometimes does as part of her first 15 mins of maths. So much scope to explore, deepen and pick apart times tables.
@deputygrocott End of year "Oscars". Whole school. Teachers dressed up in gowns, 'crowns' etc. Older students tended to get into theme as well. Oscars presented for any number of fun things. No parents.
@thatboycanteach Agree with all of the above. Added to that, I have found reading at the start of the day when students are at their freshest helps hook into a new book. Also, try to stop at the very part where they really want you to keep going.
