We like to dress a lot of things up, but if 90% of the payroll in your city is paid by white men who is free? Have you ever thought about this before?
Too many people stay silent out of fear of losing their jobs. In part because the structure of work gives nearly all the power to the business owner, workers are often forced into compliance just to survive. If speaking up can cost you your livelihood, that isn’t freedom — it’s a form of citizen control.
And if you can work every day, do everything “right,” and still can’t afford a home, how different is that from sharecropping? Different century, similar pressure.
Real change requires more than participation — it requires power. We have to position ourselves to own more, build more, and invest in the kinds of assets that create generational wealth. Ownership shifts the balance.
