వరద జలాల మీద కట్టిన ఏపీ ప్రాజెక్టులకు మాత్రం నికర జలాలు వదులుతున్నారు.

వలిగొండ, పోతిరెడ్డిపాడు, మల్యాల వరద జలాల ప్రాజెక్టులకు నీళ్లు వదిలి చంద్రబాబు నియోజకవర్గం కుప్పానికి నీళ్లు తీసుకుపోతున్నారు.

అదే నికర జలాలపై హక్కులు ఉన్న జూరాల, కల్వకుర్తి, పాలమూరు-రంగారెడ్డి ప్రాజెక్టులకు నీళ్లు వదలడం లేదు.

నీళ్లు వదలక పంటలు మొత్తం ఎండిపోతున్నాయి.

నీళ్లు ఇస్తే పంట కొనుగోలు చేయాలని, రైతు బంధు, బోనస్ ఇవ్వాల్సి వస్తుందని నీళ్లు ఇవ్వడం లేదు.

అసమర్థ కాంగ్రెస్ పాలనలో కరెంటు కోతలపై రైతుల ఆందోళన

రంగారెడ్డి జిల్లా కడ్తాల్ మండలం రావిచెడ్ సబ్‌స్టేషన్‌ ముందు మఖ్తమాదారం, న్యామతాపూర్, రావిచెడ్ గ్రామాల రైతులు నిరసనకు దిగారు.

సరిపడా విద్యుత్‌ సరఫరా లేక బోర్లు నడవక పంటలు ఎండిపోతున్నాయని, మోటర్లు, ట్రాన్స్‌ఫార్మర్లు కాలిపోతున్నాయని రైతులు కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వంపై ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

24 గంటల విద్యుత్‌ సరఫరా చేయాలని డిమాండ్ చేస్తూ సిబ్బందితో రైతులు వాగ్వాదానికి దిగారు. విద్యుత్ సమస్య పరిష్కరించే వరకు ఆందోళనలు కొనసాగిస్తామని రైతులు కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వాన్ని హెచ్చరించారు.

అర్ధరాత్రి వేళ భారత్ బెంజ్ లారీలతో ఇసుకను తరలిస్తూ సొమ్ము చేసుకుంటున్న దేవరకద్ర కాంగ్రెస్ ఎమ్మెల్యే మధుసూధన్ రెడ్డి అనుచరులు జంగాల రవి, రవికాంత్ రెడ్డి.

పోలీసులకు, రెవెన్యూ అధికారులకు ఎన్నిసార్లు చెప్పినా పట్టించుకోవడం లేదని ఆగ్రహించిన స్థానిక రైతులు.. అక్రమంగా ఇసుక తరలిస్తున్న ఆరు లారీలు, జేసీబీని అడ్డుకున్నారు.

ఇది కాంగ్రెస్ పాలనలో కాంగ్రెస్ దొంగలు చేస్తున్న అక్రమ ఇసుక దోపిడీ!

అదిలాబాద్ జిల్లా రిమ్స్ ఆసుపత్రిలో కరెంట్ షార్ట్ సర్క్యూట్ ప్రమాదంలో ముగ్గురు చిన్నారులు మృతి చెందడం అత్యంత బాధాకరం.

ఈ దుర్ఘటనలో ఇంకా 23 మంది పసిపిల్లలు గాయపడిన నేపథ్యంలో వెంటనే మెరుగైన చికిత్స అందించి వారి ప్రాణాలు కాపాడాలి.

కాంగ్రెస్ సర్కారు ఘోర వైఫల్యం వల్లే ఇంత పెద్ద ప్రమాదం జరిగి, అభంశుభం తెలియని పిల్లలు అన్యాయంగా బలైపోయారు.

ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టిన నాటినుంచి ప్రభుత్వ వైద్య రంగాన్ని పూర్తిగా విధ్వంసం చేసిన సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డే ఈ సంఘటనకు పూర్తి బాధ్యత వహించాలి.

రిమ్స్ ఆసుపత్రిలో నెలకొన్న దుస్థితులపై అనేకసార్లు BRS జిల్లా నేతలు ప్రభుత్వాన్ని హెచ్చరించినా మొద్దునిద్ర పోయిన రేవంత్ సర్కారులో కనీస చలనం కనిపించలేదు.

అత్యంత పకడ్బందీ చర్యలు తీసుకోవాల్సిన పిల్లల వార్డులో ప్రభుత్వ పర్యవేక్షణ పూర్తిగా లోపించడం, కనీస నిర్వహణ లేకపోవడం వల్లే ఈ దురదృష్టకర సంఘటన చోటుచేసుకుంది.

ఆదిలాబాద్ రిమ్స్ తో పాటు రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న అన్ని ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రుల్లోని పిల్లల వార్డులు, ఐసీయూలను నిపుణులతో తనిఖీ చేయించి ఇలాంటి సంఘటనలు జరగకుండా పటిష్టమైన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలి.

రేవంత్ సర్కారు చేతకానితనం వల్ల తమ పసిపిల్లలను కోల్పోయి పుట్టెడు దుఃఖంలో ఉన్న బాధిత కుటుంబాలకు 25 లక్షల చొప్పున ఎక్స్ గ్రేషియా చెల్లించి ఆదుకోవాలని BRS పక్షాన డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నాం.

ఒకనాడు పాలమూరు దుర్భిక్షాన్ని, దురవస్థను వలపోస్తూ పాడుకున్న పాట.. ఇప్పుడు మళ్లీ చెవుల్లో ప్రతిధ్వనిస్తున్నది. తలాపున కృష్ణ పారినా.. పొలం పొలమారు తూనే ఉన్నది. అక్కడ ఆంధ్రా సరిహద్దుల దాకా నీళ్లు పారుతుంటే.. కృష్ణానది పక్కనే ఉన్నా పాలమూరు చుక్కనీటి కోసం దిక్కులు చూస్తున్నది. శ్రీశైలానికి ఏకంగా 700 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో ఉన్న కుప్పం.. కృష్ణా నీళ్లు పట్టుకుపోయి పారిచ్చుకుంటుంటే, 70 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరమైనా లేని జూరాల ఆయకట్టు సాగునీళ్ల కోసం ఎందుకు చేతులెత్తి వేడుకోవాల్సి వస్తున్నది?

చేవలేని, చేతకాని కాంగ్రెస్‌ ప్రభుత్వం తన అసమర్థతను కప్పిపుచ్చుకునేందుకు ప్రకృతిని నిందిస్తున్నది. తప్పంతా ఎల్‌ నినోదే అని తప్పించుకోజూస్తున్నది. అనేక దేశాలపై ఎల్‌ నినో ప్రభావమున్నది. తెలంగాణకే రాలేదు. ఇక్కడికే పరిమితం కాలేదు. వర్షాభావ పరిస్థితులు ఉన్నప్పటికీ.. కృష్ణమ్మ వరదనీరు ఒడిన నింపుకొని పారింది. ముందుచూపున్న రాష్ర్టాలు జాగ్రత్తపడ్డయ్‌. కోటాను మించి నీళ్లు పట్టుకుపోయి కాలువలు పారించుకున్నయ్‌. అందుకే ఎగువన కర్ణాటకలో సాగునీటికి కొరత లేదు. దిగువన ఏపీలోనూ నీళ్ల కరువు రాలేదు. నడిమిట్ల తెలంగాణకే ఎందుకీ అవస్థ? వానల్లేవు. చెరువుల్లో నీళ్లు లేవు. కాలువలకు ఎత్తిపోసేవాడు లేడు. పంటలు ఎండుతున్నయ్‌. రైతులు నీళ్లు ముట్టకుండా ప్రాజెక్టులన్నీ పోలీసుల పహారాలో ఉన్నయ్‌. గేట్లెత్తి వదిలేసిన నీళ్లు ఏపీకి పోతున్నయ్‌. కాదు, రేవంత్‌ సర్కారే నీళ్లు ధారపోస్తున్నది.

కర్ణాటకలో కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వమే ఉంది.. వాళ్లు అక్కడ నీళ్లు ఆపుకొని నీటి మేనేజ్‌మెంట్ చేసుకుంటున్నారు.

ఇక్కడ ఉన్న కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం మాత్రం నీళ్లను ఆపలేదు, నీటి మేనేజ్‌మెంట్ చేయకుండా మొద్దు నిద్రలో ఉంది.

ఈ నేపథ్యంలో మాజీ మంత్రి సింగిరెడ్డి నిరంజన్ రెడ్డిని పోలీసులు అక్రమంగా హౌస్ అరెస్ట్ చేసి, జూరాల ప్రాజెక్టు వద్దకు వెళ్లకుండా అడ్డుకున్నారు.

Congress failed to spend, AIMIM failed to fight for minorities: @Sohail_BRS

BRS leader says government spent just 38.7% of minority scheme allocations while AIMIM reduced community issues to ceremonial interventions

Hyderabad, September 19: Senior BRS leader Shaik Abdullah Sohail on Saturday accused the Congress government and AIMIM of a “double failure” on minority welfare, saying the just-concluded Legislature session exposed both the government's poor spending record and AIMIM's failure to effectively hold it accountable.

Sohail said the government's own figures showed that only Rs 1,972.17 crore was spent against Rs 5,100.97 crore allocated for minority welfare schemes over two financial years - just 38.7% of the allocation.

“This is not an allegation made by the Opposition. These are figures admitted by the government itself before the Legislature. Nearly two-thirds of the money allocated for minority welfare schemes remained unspent. What greater proof of neglect is required?” Sohail asked.

He said the position was worse in the last financial year, when only Rs 1,010.63 crore was spent against an allocation of Rs 2,844.02 crore, amounting to 35.5%.

The figures relate to the Scheme Budget and exclude salaries, establishment expenditure and other non-scheme components of the Minority Welfare Department.

Sohail said the government had also acknowledged that minority welfare allocations were not linked to the community's 14.27% share of Telangana's population.

“Congress makes grand announcements and displays impressive figures in Budget documents, but the money does not reach the ground. An allocation that remains on paper cannot educate a student, finance a poor family or create employment,” he said.

He said the scholarship and fee reimbursement crisis had further exposed what he termed the government's indifference towards students. The government acknowledged during the session that thousands of crores remained outstanding towards fee reimbursement and scholarships across different communities. Contemporary reports also recorded the government's decision to call an all-party meeting after concerns were raised over the pending payments.

Sohail said minority students were among those badly affected by delayed payments, while the issue of pending scholarships had also reached the High Court earlier this year.

“Students do not study on Budget speeches. Colleges do not run on assurances. If scholarships and fee reimbursement are not released when students need them, the scheme has failed its purpose,” he said.

Turning his attack on AIMIM, Sohail alleged that the party had reduced its role on minority issues to “ceremonial interventions” inside the Assembly while avoiding sustained political pressure outside it.

He acknowledged that AIMIM legislators raised fee reimbursement, scholarships, Waqf properties and other issues in the House, but said occasional speeches and representations could not substitute for a sustained campaign demanding implementation.

“AIMIM wants Muslims to believe that asking a few questions in the Assembly amounts to a struggle. Where was the struggle when minority welfare funds remained unspent? Where were the protests when scholarships were not released? Where was the pressure when students and colleges were waiting for their dues?” he asked.

Sohail alleged that AIMIM had failed to use its political strength in Hyderabad to force the government to act on minority welfare.

“If AIMIM claims to be the voice of minorities, it cannot become vocal only when the Assembly microphone is switched on. Accountability cannot be seasonal,” he said.

He also accused both parties of failing to match rhetoric with results on Waqf protection. Although Waqf properties figured prominently in the Section 22-A controversy, he said long-pending issues involving surveys, encroachments, reconciliation of Waqf and revenue records and protection of disputed properties required concrete action.

Sohail said the government could not cite fresh allocations as evidence of its commitment when previous allocations remained substantially unspent.

“The government may announce another Rs 2,000 crore or Rs 3,000 crore tomorrow. The real question is: how much will actually be released and spent?” he said.

He demanded that the government make public the scheme-wise position of minority welfare funds, including allocations, releases, expenditure, beneficiaries and pending applications.

Sohail said the session had therefore left two questions unanswered: why the Congress government had failed to spend the money already allocated for minority welfare, and why AIMIM had failed to mount sustained pressure over that failure.

“Minorities need neither Congress assurances nor AIMIM speeches. They need scholarships paid, welfare schemes implemented, Waqf properties protected and every rupee allocated for their development actually spent,” he said. (Ends)
