It took Zohran Mamdani less than 50 days to prove once again that the hallmark of elected Leftists is their complete inability to govern.

As literally anyone with a brain pointed out, he was never going to be able to raise taxes to fund his wish list because a tax hike would require the approval of the NY State Legislature.

So now, he wants a $127B budget-- most of which doesn't go to improving the city-- but useless things like the "office of racial equity."

And he can't fund it without raiding NYC's reserve funds and raising property taxes-- something that isn't going to make the city "affordable" like he promised.

Running for office on the promise to tax billionaires to pay for a lot of free stuff sounds great in theory-- but unfortunately government isn't a limitless credit card.

This is blue city governance at its finest: Overpromising and underdelivering... Every single time.
