Today, 5 July 2026, the Kigali Universe hosted the UMURAGE (Legacy) Discussion, where Col. Désiré Migambi Mungamba said that remembering the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi helps unite Rwandans, preserve the truth, and prevent such atrocities from happening again.

The event, held as part of the Story Told On Canvas (STOC) Festival, promoted the values of patriotism, unity, resilience, and national development while honouring Rwanda’s liberation legacy.

The discussion was attended by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Rwanda and young people from diverse backgrounds. Participants also visited an art exhibition showcasing Rwanda’s journey from the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi to the country’s remarkable transformation today.
