However, there are some medical jobs that are designated as "On-Call" but they still have specific contracts that support that schedule, while I have a 8am-8am schedule where I'm on duty but I have no obligations after those set hours unless I get held over for that extra hour

I get told that I can get held over for an hour extra if I catch a very late call and relief crew hasn't arrived yet, but that's it. I get texts asking if I WANT to come in, not texts demanding I pick up a shift, and I answer accordingly

Even a standard US wood frame house could take a few hits from one, the thing is a 40mm warhead and between 700g-1.4kg of explosive mass. Damage is closer to 500lb and 1000lb JDAM's, which Hamas doesn't have.

I'm financially capable and I work 72-120 hours a week, I can't raise a kid on my own without abandoning them or bouncing between sitters. Raising children in a decent life needs money, time management, and suitably parents to be present.
