If we have family in the TDF trying to participate in another war, let’s do them a favor now.Tell them to refuse TPLF from using them as cannon fodder for Isaias. #Tplfmustgo

This madness in #Tigray must stop!
This evening, armed militants from a criminal group of Army 60 opened fire on mothers who courageously opposed the forced conscription of their children in Hagereselam, Dogu'a Tembien, #Tigray, #Ethiopia.
This is not an isolated incident. Similar abuses are unfolding across Tigray, turning the region into a place of fear and suffering. The violence continues, and silence only emboldens those responsible.
The people of Tigray deserve peace, justice, accountability, and protection. The Federal government and the international community must not look away. @hrw@USEmbassyAddis@EUinEthiopia@UKinEthiopia@UNHumanRights

News: Rights group accuses #Tigray authorities of forcibly recruiting civilians, says campaign has created a "climate of fear"
Human Rights Watch (#HRW) has accused authorities in #Ethiopia's Tigray region of carrying out a campaign of forced recruitment targeting civilians, including children as young as 16, alleging that regional forces have abducted former combatants and other men and boys since at least April 2026.
In a report released today, the rights organization said the recruitment campaign has created "a climate of fear" across the region, with civilians allegedly being rounded up from streets, workplaces, homes, and artisanal gold-mining sites before being transferred to military camps.

The forced recruitment of youth in #Tigray is leaving families in fear & communities in tears. After all Tigray has endured, its people shouldn't have to watch another generation be drawn into conflict.
Tigray's youth deserve life, hope,& peace not another war 4 political ambitions.
The Eritrean model of forced conscription is being replicated across Tigray by a criminal and regressive group. These photos were taken this morning in Adigudom, where face-covered militants are seen rounding up young people. Mothers were reportedly crying as their children were taken away.
This must stop. Everyone who values peace should exert maximum pressure on this war-mongering group to end these abuses. #Tigray #Peace #Ethiopia @hrw@amnesty@EUinEthiopia@UKinEthiopia@USEmbassyAddis@IGADsecretariat@_AfricanUnion

I have met Mrs. Akeza Hiluf several times at #Enderta, where she was actively engaged in public mobilization. The imprisonment of a 76 years old elderly woman for expressing her views is deeply troubling and deserves the strongest condemnation. Such actions further undermine justice and driving the region into crisis. This criminal group in Tigray will do everything shameful under the sun unless stopped by any means. #Tigray #Ethiopia

News: Draft #Tigray proclamation proposes compulsory mobilization, severe penalties for media activity deemed to undermine recruitment efforts
A draft proclamation proposed by the Tigray People's Liberation Front (#TPLF) is drawing scrutiny over provisions that would make military mobilization a legal obligation while imposing harsh penalties on individuals and media organizations accused of discouraging recruitment, criticizing mobilization efforts, or disseminating information deemed harmful to security interests.
The proposed legislation, which seeks to establish a legal framework for national mobilization and wartime administration, contains a series of provisions granting authorities extensive powers over civilian, institutional, and media activities during periods of mobilization.
At the center of the draft is a requirement that citizens called upon for national mobilization must comply with recruitment orders. The law outlines penalties for individuals who evade
