People are saying: oh now we have to go far away before we can access beach.
It’s because your understanding of beach is commoditized. You feel you must pay to access it. When the commons is privatized, enclosed, capitalism in full force.
It is not an emergency. It's not urgent
Let's wait until the poison gets into everything
Bottled water may work for now but you don't water crops with bottled water
This is a lost battle because the state is complicit and plays an active role in sustaining it

If the reason is however political, tribal, or rich people using their capitalistic power to dispossess the peasants, then the voices and mobilizations from below must stand up against these hegemonic forces
If the motive for the demolition is to preserve Kpeshie lagoon and other wetlands, which eventually can be useful in flood control, then 💯 💪🏾. It must however include all those estates and apartment complexes in the buffer zone of the lagoon. Equity and justice

Accra flooding so bad in recent years. EPA and NADMO found encroachment in Kpeshie lagoon catchment areas as one of key causalities. Demolition is being done to save the ecosystem, including lives and properties that future floods may affect. Yet, idiots politicize everything.
Ghana is going through a serious environmental crisis and we are running out of drinking water, Galamsey is poisoning our water and farmland and living women and children with kidney diseases.. @JDMahama you promised to end Galamsey, Do that now !!

@ChristDeKing Maybe, just maybe, the Cotonou folks don't go stealing the streetlights and cables every time they got fixed. Our penchant for destroying public property in Ghana is nauseating
🇲🇱 Mali have a new kit supplier and it’s an African-owned brand.
WA Team Sport, led by Badiri “Dawala” Diakité, founder of Wati B, has replaced Airness as Mali’s official kit partner.
The deal runs through the 2026–2030 cycle.
The bigger story? African brands are increasingly moving beyond fashion and entertainment into sports, designing, supplying and selling kits to national teams.
For WA Team Sport, Mali is a football platform and a commercial opportunity.
